Brand kit
The Vidscape brand kit. Take what you need.
The logo, colours, type and 18 animations of the mark. Use them when you write about Vidscape, link to us or show that you work with us.
Logo
Three equal v's. One of them lit.
Six arms pair up into three chevrons. At a glance it reads as an asterisk, and the lit v is the letter. Use the file made for your ground: the versions for dark are drawn slightly thinner.
Clear space
Keep one v clear on every side: the height of the lit v, at the size you are using the logo.
| Version | Screen minimum | Print minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Horizontal | 88 px wide | 20 mm wide |
| Wordmark | 14 px tall, small drawing | 15 mm wide |
| Stacked | 56 px wide | 14 mm wide |
| Symbol | 16 px, favicon drawing | 5 mm |

Colour
One palette. One rule for the lit v.
The lit v is lime on dark and violet on light, and it is never green. Click a value to copy it.

CMYK values are calculated, not press-tested. Lime and violet sit outside what CMYK can print, so use spot colours for them.
Type
Bricolage for the voice. Newsreader for the turn.
Three families, all under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which allows logo and commercial use. Keep optical sizing on: Bricolage changes shape with size, which keeps headlines tight and body text open.
700 to 800, tracking -0.035 to -0.04em, line height about 1.04. The wordmark is 800 at optical size 96, always the outlined file.
400, the second half of a headline only, one per headline. Violet on light, lime on dark.
Bricolage Grotesque 400 and 500, line height 1.5 to 1.6, up to 56 characters a line.
DM Mono 400 and 500, uppercase, tracking 0.06 to 0.14em.
AI does the production. You make the creative call.
Icons
Sharp at 16 pixels. Drawn for it, not scaled down.
Below 32 pixels the mark uses heavier drawings, and the 16 pixel version is aligned to the pixel grid so its centre gap stays crisp. Every icon below is shown at its true size.
Motion
It comes apart. It always lands.
The mark lands on itself every 120 degrees, so it can turn, split and roll and still finish exactly where it started. Everything uses one curve and stops between moves. Each animation comes as SVG, Lottie, WebM, MP4 and GIF.
With reduced motion switched on, loops become the colour-only Pass and one-shots jump to their last frame. The code snippets use the React component and CSS in the Motion for web and apps pack.
Files
Every file, in one place.
Each pack holds the files and the notes on using them.
Using these files
You can use them to write about Vidscape, link to us or show that you work with us. Please don't use them in a way that suggests we made or endorse something we didn't, or build them into your own name or logo. The fonts keep their own open licences, which are in the Fonts pack.
